met one another on the road.
Travelling from somewhere to elsewhere,
Running away from their homes.
The robot asked about the human's day.
Every word the human said was a lie.
But the robot didn't mind any,
Because he'd do the same.
The human drank his coffee,
And tried to think about his life,
But the robot's eyes were all he could see,
And the robot watched the human's hands.
Together they rode the ship to nowhere,
Passing by stars and planets and gas,
And together they dreamed of tomorrow,
Where maybe they'd be together.
